FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What are Moonyarns pieces made from?

Our bags and purses are made primarily with lightweight organza and finished with embroidery and thoughtfully chosen details. Exact materials may vary slightly by design and will be listed on each individual product page.

Are organza bags delicate?

Organza has a light and delicate appearance, but our bags are designed to be used and enjoyed in everyday life.

In our own use testing, our organza bags have comfortably carried up to 8 kg, including heavier groceries such as milk, drinks and fruit.

We do recommend keeping sharp or rough-edged objects away from the fabric, as these may snag or damage the organza.

Can I use my Moonyarns bag for groceries?

Yes. Our organza bags have been tested carrying everyday groceries and heavier essentials.

They have comfortably carried loads of up to 8 kg, including items such as drinks, milk and fruit.

As with any fine fabric, please avoid placing sharp objects or items with rough edges directly against the organza.

What happens if the bag gets wet or damp?

One of the practical qualities we love about organza is how quickly it dries.

If your bag becomes damp from condensation, light rain or wet groceries, simply allow it to air dry naturally.

Because the fabric is lightweight, it generally dries very quickly.

How do I care for my Moonyarns organza bag?

Our organza bags have been tested through everyday use and gentle hand washing.

For best results:

  • Hand wash gently in cool water
  • Avoid vigorous scrubbing or twisting
  • Take extra care around embroidered areas
  • Air dry naturally
  • Once completely dry, gently iron on an appropriate low setting to restore the shape and smoothness of the fabric

In our own testing, bags that have been hand washed, air dried and gently ironed have returned to a clean, refreshed appearance and shape, ready to be used again.

Can I iron my organza bag?

Yes, but please use care.

We recommend ironing gently on a low heat setting once the bag is completely dry. Avoid holding the iron in one place for too long, and take extra care around embroidery and decorative details.

If in doubt, place a thin cloth between the iron and the bag.

Will every piece look exactly the same?

Small variations in embroidery, stitching and finishing may occur from piece to piece.

We see these subtle differences as part of the character of a thoughtfully made product rather than a defect.

Are Moonyarns bags suitable for everyday use?

Yes. Although organza looks delicate, our bags are designed with both beauty and practicality in mind.

They are lightweight, easy to carry and store, quick-drying, and have been tested with heavier everyday essentials.

We want our pieces to be used, carried and enjoyed, not simply kept for special occasions.

Do you restock sold-out designs?

Moonyarns pieces are produced in limited quantities.

Some designs may be restocked, while others may not return once they sell out.

If you have your eye on something, we recommend joining our mailing list or following Moonyarns for restock and new-release updates.

Can I return or exchange my order?

Due to the limited quantities in which our pieces are produced, we currently do not accept returns, exchanges or refunds for change of mind, incorrect selection or personal preference.

If your item arrives with a confirmed manufacturing defect, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order.

Once the manufacturing defect has been reviewed and confirmed, we will arrange an exchange where stock is available. If a replacement is unavailable, we will issue a refund for the affected item.

Please refer to our Returns & Exchanges page for full details.

What is considered a manufacturing defect?

A manufacturing defect may include an issue with the construction, stitching, embroidery or finishing that affects the intended use of the product.

Normal wear and tear, accidental damage, snagging caused by sharp objects, improper washing or care, or damage caused after delivery are not considered manufacturing defects.

Small variations in embroidery or finishing are also part of the character of a thoughtfully made piece and are not considered defects.
